Lea Mai is the product manager at PieLab, bringing quite a decade of experience in Shopify product development. Having held a Master’s degree in Marketing and Advertising in the UK & Project Management Professional certificate, she also equipped herself with proficiency in SEO, customer success, data analytics, sales and branding.
With this strong foundation, Lea prioritizes customer usability with data-driven decision-making to shape products that are not only innovative but also practical and user-friendly for all merchants.
Beyond product leadership, she is an active contributor within the global Shopify community, constantly networking, sharing insights, and keeping PieLab aligned with the latest trends and best practices in Shopify and the large e-commerce.

The SearchPie story: How an SEO app topped the charts & raised the bar
Lea’s path in e-commerce began with initial days of Secomapp – the very first Shopify solution provider in Vietnam in 2014; highlighted with SearchPie (formerly known as SEO Booster), a Shopify plug-in that reached #1 SEO app only a few months after launching on the App Store, then holding Top positions non-stop since 2019. The app soon became among the featured apps with “Built for Shopify” badge, a mark of quality and reliability.
Driven by a customer-centric innovation philosophy, Lea has focused R&D on delivering constant values to SearchPie’s users. This led to the app becoming the first in its category to provide 24/7 live chat support and personalized services like Speed Optimization, Local SEO, Google Shopping…, thereby raising the platform’s standard for customer care and app product quality.
PieLab: The Conversion Duo of SearchPie & DECO
Her commitment to merchant success culminated next in DECO – a popular Shopify toolkit designed to attract clicks and drive higher conversion rates with strategic product icons like labels, badges and banners. The efforts ultimately led to PieLab: The Dynamic Duo – a 5-star comprehensive solution that combines the traffic-driving power of “Search” with the conversion-boosting potential of “Labels.”
